BALLESTAS ISLAND & PARACAS NATIONAL RESERVE
Paracas has approximately 5000 inhabitants, has a hot climate, a desert, rocky, sandy geography with a contrast of colors by the minerals found there and its beautiful palyas, in the Paracas peninsula a civilization was also developed 2500 years ago that It is named The Paracas Culture, this civilization was developed in the textile industry in its famous Mantos Paracas, in the cranial trepanations, in the lengthening of heads (long heads), Paracas and its peninsula is a unique coastal desert in the entire Costa del Peru, therefore, it is considered a Paracas National Reserve a place protected by the Ministry of Environment.
Ballestas Islands from 08.00 am to 10:00 am
If you travel from Lima to Paracas on the same day of the tour, it is recommended to leave with Cruz del Sur – www.cruzdelsur.com.pe at 04:00 am, and arrive at Paracas 07:20 am, and you will be waiting for you at the bus station in Paracas with your name on a sign and then transfer them to the tourist dock and start the tour.
In the Ballestas Islands you will be able to appreciate from a very close a fabulous marine fauna, like great colonies of wolves in the beaches and rocks. It is also possible to see groups of Humboldt penguins in small caves, as well as a large variety of shorebirds.
During our excursion through the Ballestas Islands, in the high part of the islands you can also see hundreds of guana birds, such as cormorants, boobies, pelicans, seagulls, and tendrils. Additionally you will appreciate rock formations and the beauty of the Pacific Ocean great for artistic photos.
Tour Paracas National Reserve from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
11:00 am. You will approach our bus to start the excursion to the impressive Coastal Desert of the Paracas National Reserve, You will visit the Interpretation center of the reserve, which offers interesting pictures and photos showing all the life and fauna that exists in it. You will also take a tour of the Paracas Peninsula, observing the colorful reddish yellow desert, formations made by the winds and visiting, its beautiful beaches, such as Yumaque beach, Red beach and Lagunillas beach, on this beach they will have free time so they can have lunch as there are restaurants in front of the beach or take walks around the beach in search of photos, then we will return to Paracas at approximately 3:00 p.m.
