In our private service of Chincha Art Culture Tour, you will know its history, culture, tradition, art and architecture
You will visit the district of Carmen, the center of the city of Chincha, the museum and the Alcazar de Abdala House Museum.

Itinerary

11:30 a.m. We will start our Chincha Arte Cultura Tour with the pick up in our private transportation from the bus station or your hotel in Paracas and depart to the city of Chincha:

Visit to the district of Carmen.

This town is recognized for being the cradle of Afro-Peruvian folklore, as the locals demonstrate their dancing and playing the cajon in the center of the main square of the district of Carmen while we will appreciate its beautiful colonial church and appreciate their crafts.
You will also have time for lunch.

Then we will board our private transportation to go to the center of Chincha.

Visit to the Plaza de Armas and the Museum

It was remodeled in 1905, about 100 palm trees were planted and a large number of benches, emphasizing the image of the most important public space in the city of Chincha. The symbolic importance that it has is inestimable.
Around it you can see the church of Santo Domingo de Guzman, founded in 1759 by order of the Archbishop of Lima, today part of the National Patrimony, as a Historical Monument.

Museum of Chincha

In the museum of Chincha you will be able to appreciate vestiges left by the Chinchas, archaeological remains of the Inca period and other pieces made with ceramics, textiles, wood and lithics of cultures that made commercial exchange with the old settlers of this city.

Visit to the Alcazar de Abdala House Museum

Alcazar de Abdala is a house built contemplating all the architecture of a colonial house.
Its spaces take us back to that time.
It recreates scenarios of a monastery or convent of the colonial era with an impressive central courtyard with arches and murals with religious motifs, which serves as the architectural axis around which the house is developed.

All the ambience and decoration is in religious art and has a respectable collection of paintings, sculptures and furniture of the time.
Large halls that take us back to the splendor and exquisiteness of that time.
Art in each of its corners that makes it an unparalleled place.

It has a baroque chapel that is a true jewel ornamented with pieces and furniture that make it a captivating space.
The mansion has catacombs, warehouses, caves, cellars, kitchens, secret passages and a series of spaces under the house that allow us to visualize the architecture of the old colonial hacienda houses.

After visiting this impressive place we will return to Paracas.
