HIGHLIGHTS

You will visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu with an expert guide.

Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Santa Teresa – Hydroelectry – Aguas Calientes)

from 07:00 to 07:30 a.m., we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to then head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the first stop point will be the town of Ollantaytambo to make some small purchases, sunscreen, repellent, or eat breakfast. We will continue our trip, and we will begin to ascend to the highest point, Abra Málaga (4800 masl), then we will begin to descend in our descent we will be able to appreciate the Vilcabamba mountain range, we will enter the jungle where we will see the fruit trees, mangoes, banana trees, etc

We will arrive at the town of Santa María, to go along a trail to the town of Santa Teresa, and finally we will arrive at Hidroeléctrica at approximately 2:00 p.m. Upon arrival we will have lunch, after 1 hour of enjoying lunch we will take the road towards the town of Aguas Calientes, the path is flat with many trees that provide shade, and always with a beautiful landscape of the mountains. (Walking time 02 hours approx.) Upon arrival at the town of Aguas Calientes, our guide will be waiting for us in the main square where we will meet with the entire group, and then go to our respective accommodation.
At night you will have our dinner and also receive the information for the tour to Machupicchu the next day.

Day 2. Aguas Calientes Machu Picchu – Hidroeléctrica – Cusco

After breakfeast,  let’s  continue very early in the morning your ascent to the citadel of Machu Picchu, it is a walk of 01 hour 30 minutes (Approx.) or you will have the option of going to the citadel by bus, the main objective is to appreciate the sunrise from the Inca citadel,

*If you don’t want to walk, is possible to take the tourist bus to go up and go down

then we will have 2 hours of guided tour in Machu Picchu, at the end of your tour with the guide you will have free time to visit Machu Picchu on your own.

After visiting Machu Picchu, at around 11:30 am, we will return walking to the town of Aguas Calientes and then to Hidroeléctrica where our private transportation will be waiting for us to return to the city of Cusco
