ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival Day in Lima Day & free Night in 

On this first day of our tour package, Machu Picchu Peru Tours, we will start from Lima airport upon arrival in Lima, we will wait for you with your name on a sign and then transfer you to your  hotel.

Depending on the time of your arrival in Lima, you can catch an optional tour:

– Magic Water Circuit Tour or
– Tour to the Archaeological Site of Pachacamac

Night in Lima

Day 2: City Tour Lima Pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Modern.

In the morning pick up from the hotel to begins the tour in Lima.

Our tour introduces Lima and its three historical periods: Pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Modern.

We present a panoramic view of “La Huaca Pucllana“, visited the impressive Historical Center of Lima: Its palaces, mansions, churches and squares ending with a visit to the residential and business district of San Isidro and an unforgettable view of the Pacific Ocean in the district Miraflores, then you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: Departure to Cusco and City Tour

We will continue with Machu Picchu Peru Tours in the morning with the pick up from the hotel and transfer to Lima  airport for your departure to Cusco.

Upon arrival in Cusco, a representative of the agency will be waiting with your name on a sign and then you will be transferred to the hotel.

13:30 hrs. City tour Cusco, visiting the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha; we will make a pleasant walk through the bohemian district of San Blas, cradle of the most renowned artists and craftsmen of Cusco, visit its beautiful church, with an impressive pulpit, a work of wood filigree representing the fruits of the region and visit some of the craft workshops that are located in its small Main Square.

On the way back, pass by Hatunrumiyoc Street where you will appreciate the Stone of the Twelve Angles. Continue outside the city to visit the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress, strategically built on a hill, dominating Cusco, famous for its huge carved stones assembled with astounding precision, forming the external walls of the complex. Some of these stones exceed 9 m in height and weigh more than 350 tons.

Then they will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 4: Sacred Valley of the Incas and Aguas Calientes

In this day of We continue with Machu Picchu Peru Tours we will pick up at 07:30 a.m. we will begin the Tour Sacred Valley of the Incas and where you will can appreciate the typical Indian market that takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, you will know the customs of its people in a typical market. (Sunday Mass is celebrated in Quechua, the native language).

We will visit the colonial town of Pisac and the Inca ruins located above the town about 1900 feet, you will can to walk wander through the ruins looking observing the magnificent agricultural terraces found around the mountain and the valley,

On the way you will know Urubamba and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, It consists of a series of superimposed terraces. You will have the opportunity to walk the streets of the town and get a clear idea of ​​what this military, religious and cultural center during the Inca Empire.

Then we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, a town located in the middle of the jungle mountains, surrounded by a majestic natural setting.

Day 5: Tour Machu Picchu – Cusco

Early morning transfer to the bus station to take the bus to take us on a journey of 25 minutes by a zigzag path to the marvelous citadel of Machu Picchu.

On arrival at Machu Picchu you will have a guided tour of the Inca citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and cemeteries, then have free time to take a stroll through the citadel.

After our time in Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes to return to the city of Cusco.

Day 6: Rainbow Mountain Tour

04:30 hrs. Pick you up from your hotel a meeting point for the group and make a trip of 2 hours to the town of Pitumarca, picturesque village south of the city of Cusco, this is where we will stop to buy some things as rain ponchos, mineral water or energy drinks, snacks, etc..

After this short stop, continues our journey through magical landscapes that seamlessly are mixed between mysterious snowy mountains, multicoloured crops, andean camelids and deep valleys to observe very picturesque villages as Ocefina, Chilca,

this will be where we’ll descend from our transport and have some time to stretch our legs and relax from the trip, here is where you can taste a nutritious Andean breakfast with the residents of the area and have some time to organize the rest of the things that we need for the walk that will take approximately 3 hours (7.5 km) up the mountain,

we’ll go through the town of Machuraccay and then to the foothills of Vinicunca where villagers have organized  a checkpoint and collect 10 soles to enter this mystical place, there we’ll begin to walk a path where step by step the landscape of mountains of intense colors is changing and small streams of ice water run throug that nourish and give life to the valley, we will see how the colours around us are changing with the movement of the unpredictable weather of the mountains.

On top of the mysterious mountain of 7 colours (Vinicunca), there’s enough time to take pictures and capture images of memory time and enjoy a nice snack while sight-seeing.  After this wonderfull experience, we’ll start our way down.

The way down is much calmer and more easily, arriving to the town of Chilca where, we will be awaiting as a reward a very nice lunch prepared by our Andean Chef and share the experience with the rest of the group, then we’ll return to our bus which will bring us back to Cusco.  You will arrive around 18:00 hrs.

Day 7: Humantay  Lagoon Full Day

Cusco – Soraypampa – Humantay Lagoon Full Day – Cusco.
between 03:30 and 04:00 am, at the indicated time we will pick you up from your different hotel and then continue our journey to the town of Mollepata where we will enjoy a typical breakfast of the area.

After breakfast, we will return to our bus to continue the tour to the Humantay lagoon to observe the beautiful landscapes and gorges on the way to Soraypampa, from here we will begin our hike .

Soraypampa: our guide will give us enough time to get our equipment ready, such as walking sticks, water, personal backpacks, etc.

We will begin our trek to the Humantay lagoon at an altitude of 4,250 meters above sea level. Our ascent lasts about an hour and a half until we reach the Humantay Lagoon.

To our arrive arrive to this beautiful lagoon, you will have time to enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds it, take pictures, videos and also recharge yourself with the energy that the Salkantay snow-capped mountain has.

After all this adventure, we will return to where our bus left us in Soraypampa.

Then, we will go to Mollepata where we will enjoy our lunch and after that we will return to Cusco, arriving to the city at 18:30 hrs.

Day 8: Free Day

This day is free to rest, visit the craft market and surroundings.

Day 9: Tourist bus Route of the Sun

06:00 am You will be picked up from your hotel to be transferred to the bus station that leaves for the city of Puno.
This is a service that makes stops at different tourist attractions, such as: The Sistine Chapel of America Andahuaylillas, the Archaeological Complex of Raqchi, La Raya and the Lithic Museum of Pukará.

Along the way we will enjoy a lunch with a live show and in the afternoon we will arrive at the city of Puno.

Day 10: Titicaca Lake Uros and Taquile

07:10 a.m. Pick up from your hotel in Puno and then you will be transferred to the pier.
You will board our boat and leave to lake Titicaca and we will visit the floating Islands.
Centuries ago the small indigenous Uros tribe conceived of the islands as a way to isolate and protect themselves from rival tribes, the Collas and the Incas.

On the islands you will learn with our local guide about the life style and customs. After strolling around the floating Islands, we continue our journey towards “Taquile Island”, a traditional Quechua speaking community, full of ancient agricultural terraces.

The Taquile population was relatively isolated from the mainland until 1950s, and the notion of the community and family is still very strong among them.
At the top of the Island, you will have free time to explore this place on your own and afterwards you will meet the group for lunch at one local restaurant. After lunch, we will descent to the harbor to take our boat back to Puno.

16:00 h. Arriva time to Puno and transfer to hotel.

Night in Puno

Day 11: Colca Canyon Valley Tour – Chivay

From 06:00 to 06:15 am. Pick up time from your hotel in Puno to depart to the Colca Valley.

We will make a stop at the Lagunillas Lake viewpoint:
The next stop will be at “Patahuasi” to optionally taste hot drinks, to prevent altitude sickness, then we will stop at “Tocrapampa,” to see camelids, we will also make a stop at the “Mirador de los volcanes” (Patapampa) at 4910 m.a.s.l.

Then, we will arrive at the town of Chivay, for a buffet lunch and then accommodation in the respective hotels. In the afternoon we will visit the thermal baths and then at night we will visit a tourist restaurant where you can see some typical Colca dances.

Day 12: Colca Canyon – Arequipa

In the morning, after breakfast we will head towards the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint where we will be expectant of the imposing flight of the condors and we will appreciate the depth of the canyon, considered one of the deepest.

On the way, back we will make stops at the Antahuilque and Huayrapunku viewpoints, places from which we will appreciate the Valley in its maximum splendor and the pre-Inca terraces that to this day are used for planting grains and other crops.
Finally, we will arrive at Chivay, where we will have our buffet lunch:
After lunch (1:10 pm approx.) we will return to the city of Arequipa,

21:20 p.m. Pick up from your hotel in Arequipa and transfer to the Cruz del Sur bus station
22:15 p.m. Departure from Arequipa to Nazca in Cruz del Sur (arriving in Nazca the next day between 07:00 am to 07:30 am).

Night on The Bus

Day 13: Arrival Day in Nazca, Nazca Lines Flight – Acueductos – Huacachina – Paracas,

07:30 a.m. Arrive time to Nazca, reception service and transfer to Maria Reiche airport. Before to Flight, you will see an informative video of the Nazca Lines, after you will board the airplane to fly over the impressive Nazca lines for 35 minutes.

For the Overflight we use small airplanes with capacity for 4 and 5 people, Cessna single-engine aircraft, each person with a window seat;

after some basic information about the Lines and safety instructions you will board the airplane.
During this flight you will see perfect representations of large animals, such as birds, including a condor, a hummingbird, a pelican, a parrot among others. As for the other species, you will see a big monkey, a spider, a whale, a lizard, and a famous design known as the astronaut.

Besides the designs you can also find hundreds of lines that run throughout the desert and large geometric shapes that resemble huge runways. Finally we will return to the airport.

After the Overflight, we will leave in our private mobility towards the area of Cantalloc.
On the way we will see the Inca ruins of Caxamarca, an Inca Ruin used in the past as a resting place. Today local people call this place Paredones, which was built long ago when the Incas expanded their empire on the Nazca Valley, here we will know more of this Inca Ruin and of history in this place.

Then you will visit a sector known as the needles, where it is possible to observe a huge trapezoid from the top of a little hill, here you will be able to be very close to a genuine Nazca trapezoid and will also get a good insight into the meaning of the Nazca Lines.

Afterwards, we are going to visit the ancient channels of Cantayo.
On this place we will visiting the enormous spirals holes and also the channels. Our guide will explain how the Nazca people built all these channels and also will take us for a stroll in the surrounding fields to see some crops produced by the native community.

After visiting this place we will go to the city center for you to have lunch or go straight to Huacachina (2 hours trip).

When you arrive to Huacachina, you will know this beautiful Oasis and at the indicated time we will begin the adrenaline tour in the desert with Buggy and sandboarding.

16:30 hs. Extreme Tour in the desert with Buggy and sandboarding.
In this tour you will cross Ica’s desert in a 4×4 buggy vehicle and will make various stops along the way for pictures.

The desert of Ica is the most beautiful in our country and offers stunning landscapes.

Also you will do the sandboarding.
Keep in mind that on this tour you will not have to walk up the dunes to go for a second or a third ride, our driver will do all the lifting job for you, finally when you return, we will make a last stop at the top of a dune and we will have a beautiful view of the oasis.

18:40 hs. Transportation from Huacachina to Paracas

Night in Paracas.

Day 14: Ballestas Islands and Paracas National Reserve Tour – Lima

You will visit the Ballestas Islands the Paracas National Reserve and finish in Lima.

07:40 a.m. Pick up from the hotel in Paracas and transfer to the tourist pier.

08:00 a.m. Tour Ballestas Island and Candelabro (02 hours tour by speed boat)
Begin the tour from the port of Chaco Paracas where we will board a speedboat to share with other clients, then a fifteen minute tour of the Paracas Bay, arrive at Candelabra, here our guide will explain the different theories out there about this figure enigmatic, after fifteen minutes of travel around the Ballestas Islands where we will see rock formations and a variety of marine species, sea lions, Humboldt penguins, chuitas, guanays, pelicans, oystercatchers tendrils, thousands of sea birds, then arrive Maternity of wolves, then return to port.

10:00 a.m. Return of the tour and transfer to Hotel

11:00 a.m. Pick up from hotel to start the tour Paracas National Reserve by private car.

During this trip we visit interpretation center of Reserve which have very interesting pictures and interactive videos and all the history as important data of this protected area.

We also do a route by peninsula of Paracas gazing the colorful desert redness, yellow, we will observe the rocky formations, made by two architects the wind and the waves, beaches like Yumake beach, Red beach, and La Mina beach, in this beach you can swim

You’ ll visit Lagunilla  beach too, you can walk around,  and have lunch in the restaurants seeing the beach.

15:00 hs. Return to Paracas town and transfer to the hotel.

15:30 hs. Pick from you from the hotel and transfer to the bus station.

16:30 hs. Departure time from Paracas to Lima by Cruz del Sur, First Floor – Vip Service.

20:30 hs. Arrival time to Lima  and transfer to your hotel.
